The Universe is made of matter

So much on my mind, and I've been slacking. SLACKING HARD. Getting restful sleep though.

I will be better.

Why is it that we worry? Let us rationalize...

The root of it all should be that worrying helps us survive; however, as an American in the 21st century, surviving is no longer the sole focus in life. Surviving has become a default; society is built to ensure your survival. Emergency rooms, police, safety policies, welfare, and the people in this community will not let you just die  so easily. Thus, most people don't worry about dying (unless one is subjected to some terminal disease. Bless them). So what do we worry about?

Family, friends, relationships, career, school, money. All these things are reasonable to worry about. Why? Because they matter to us.

So if we care about something, are we doomed to eternal worrying? The cure to worrying or anything that causes anxiety is to DO something about. Got an exam? go study. Knee hurts? do therapy, work on it. Too much to do at work and school? try, try and fail... because that's all we can do.

Tackle it head on. Never cower from a challenge. Embrace it, win. Lose? try again. This is all we can do, to give it our all. Learn from mistakes and improve. There is no shame in trying, keep trying. If you've given life your all then what is there to worry about. Just ask. Once its out then its no longer in your hands.

There is no point worrying about something that is not in your control. Why should I worry if a blackhole obliterates all the matter in the solar system? I can't do anything about it anyway.

(I've diagnosed my own problem: due to my own slacking, I have created a deep chasm of worry. I will now return to the grind and let these thoughts dissipate.)

Hey, future me, there's no possible way you have more worries than what I got right now...right?
