Values
Starting over by Chris Stapleton - this is the vibe right now
I'm 11 days in the tanjiro-yeager challenge and life is good. Cold showers seem to get easier, sleep schedule back on track, music sounds amazing right now, the sky bluer and the grass greener. On the flipside, my knees have been creaking like old door hinges (wrist too), so I took to swimming again (raced a mom in the lane next to me). Quite refreshing except for the fact that some goon stole my brand new goggles lol (-_-). More eventful things have happened as well; I'm on the gram now (a void that eats my time but its good to see familiar faces). Yo future me, I'm one week in my first full time job, and so far, the environment and people seem very promising. Let me know how it goes.
Now to do the stack of secondary's...
They ask me what my values are. I value honor and integrity the most. What is life without integrity? Death before dishonor they say, for a man's honor is all that he truly has control over. It is the one possession he can take with him into the afterlife -to eternity. Wealth and riches mean nothing if they were not achieved through honest means. Although you may say "what does it matter if no one knows?" Wrong. The only one who needs to know is you and you will live with it forever.
I value courage, humbleness, compassion, resilience, etc. Do not strive for material possession, but rather, strive to become a man of value. Improve yourself and you will be awarded a hundred-fold. Afterwards, you shall reap the benefits of your toils.
