hahahahahah DAMN The Boyz is a good show!

Yea it's super heroes, action, and comedy but.... it's also a huge satire about contemporary American culture. On top of all that, bro... the characters are all so well developed.

Bro I wrote this whole spiel about the show's summary and message but nah (its just a bunch of rejects standing up against the corrupt heroes). This one goes out to Billy Butcher though.

This man had the hardest path. Butcher lost his girl, his brother, his honor, his pride, his chance of a happy future... all to Homelander the ultimate superhero. The sad thing is that Homelander doesn't even know who butch boi is (at first but now the whole world knows now). Sometimes in life, we cant control the sht that happens to us, but we can control how to respond.

Butcher became cold and vengeful. Then, he found others like him who were hurt by the society's protectors - thus the Boys was founded. A 5-pack of measly unemployed, non-tax-paying, crime lords vs a legion of genetically juiced up champions.

Honestly, Butcher was feral and wild; his methods were cruel and violent (we're talking about blackmail, murder, and kidnapping)... but we root for him WHY? The guy is a villain in all books! Maybe we cheer for him because he is a villain who fights villains? Or is it because Butcher is the underdog? No. We cheer for Butch because of the pain he has experienced, the wrong that was done to him, HE HAD A WHY?! Thus, in a way, we too justify his vengeance. The man was dealt the hardest hand, there wasnt much option (coulda treated his own comrades better though). Damn, I need to find a WHY compelling enough to give me Butchers perseverance lol.

(imma be honest, in terms of character, virtue, and decision making, I agree with starlight the most AHAHAHAHAAH)
