I'm still here
Greetings to Past Me,
I'm switching it up tonight (treasure planet vibes)- this one goes to the younger version of me. A longggg ass week had just passed; I lay down for 2 minutes to rest and woke up 2hrs later haha! I was in rut today - straight slumping, motivation low, health bar low, hunger bar even lower.
Lately, I have been making these roast beef croissants with baby spinach and then dipping it in ranch (amazing... I could eat these everyday for the rest of my life). When I eat, I usually watch productivity YouTube videos as entertainment; it also makes me feel productive LOL. Anyway, I clicked on one of the "day in the life of a medical student videos" (I use to always watch that sht), but this time it was different. I wasn't just watching someone else climb the mountain, for I was also in the middle of my own climb. I had a realization... like bro I could being doing that right now (all that organizing & productivity sht). We are! It was a burst of inspiration - paradigm shift. Yo PAST ME, you are here! All those habits we built through the years, I still use them!! (except music, I havent picked up the sax in a while, idk if it's allowed in the apartment though). Every book we read, every workout accomplished, every podcast in 5pm traffic, every failure , all of it! It paid off, thank you bro.
Now, if I keep leveling up in the next four years, then maybe residency version of me will look back and be thankful. Actually, you know what? Imma sign up for that thing tmr and start a new habit. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo!
no more "day in the life of a medical student" videos, but "day in the life of a resident" videos
