trying to fix sleep

It is the midst of night. I want to rise at 5am from now on, but my body refuses to rest. I rolled for an hour, anki-ed for an hour, but could not slumber. Now, I will study until my eyes beg for rest. There is a constant war between the body and mind. In most people, the body wins, and they fall to comfort and poor habits. They cannot maintain the calorie restriction or choose the vegetables. They rather snooze at every opportunity, skip workouts when tired, scroll aimless in cyberspace than read a book or take a walk. At other times, the mind will win, and we may get a sprout of productiveness throughout the day. There is a balance - push and pull between the two. Harmony as many would call it.

But not for me... this is unacceptable. There should be NO harmony between the two. The mind is the master, and the body bends to its WILL. Sometimes it is necessary to remind the latter of who is in charge through cold plunges or fasting. I will rise tomorrow before the sun no matter how tired I am. This body is merely a vessel built around my mind. Sheer will and discipline can make anything happen. LETS WORK!
