Sometimes we don't live in the present. The mind wanders... to the future or to the past. In hindsight, it is never really that bad. Things don't always go as planned but we are here now. Everything led up to this very moment. We are living in this exact frame of time. We've survived everything that WAS - every trial and tribulation seems so insignificant when we look back. Think about it! Your grades in HS never really mattered that much. The swim meets and band auditions were just for fun... they've never mattered. The presentations in college, the lab experiments, the bs little quizzes, the club meetings, I could on and on.

That is the past. What of the future, the mind seems to always assume the worst scenario. I understand why, it is to prepare for the unknown. When the mind prepares for the worst, the present suffers as if it was already here. Let's be honest, the future is never really that bad either. As long as we put in the work, the results will be there. If you lived and assumed the best, the present moment will be 1000x better. because what if ....

Legends of the Fall

Greetings to the future, It has been a while old friend. My hiatus has finally come to an end, for I have found my way again. All is well in the world. I have found the path that must be walked. A reason for the struggle. An end to the road. A why. I have found it once more. I know what I want in this life. This dream now keeps me up at night and has me leaping out of bed before the sunrise. When we wander aimlessly, no amount of motivation can carry us through the storm. A ship with no direction will never reach the port.  I will do everything it takes to get what is mine.
