Values

Starting over by Chris Stapleton - this is the vibe right now I'm 11 days in the tanjiro-yeager challenge and life is good. Cold showers seem to get easier, sleep schedule back on track, music sounds amazing right now, the sky bluer and the grass greener. On the flipside, my knees have been creaking like old door hinges (wrist too), so I took to swimming again (raced a mom in the lane next to me). Quite refreshing except for the fact that some goon stole my brand new goggles lol (-_-).  More eventful things have happened as well; I'm on the gram now (a void that eats my time but its good to see familiar faces). Yo future me, I'm one week in my first full time job, and so far, the environment and people seem very promising. Let me know how it goes.  Now to do the stack of secondary's... They ask me what my values are. I value honor and integrity the most. What is life without integrity? Death before dishonor they say, for a man's honor is all that he truly has contro...

It's always motivational to see someone better than me. Whether it involves sports, school, work, character, or work ethic, the idea that a higher level is achievable is immensely inspirational. Yea watching Devin Booker annihilate the NBA playoffs is marvelous, but watching some rando named Russ finesse the entire gym in a pickup basketball game is 10x more motivating. Re-watching Arnolds story about becoming a bodybuilding legend is great, but seeing homeboy put in the work and make gains at the UREC hits different. You get that "I can do it too" vibe. Seeing people on their grind, whatever it may be, puts me in the mindset to GET THINGS DONE. There's nothing more badass than seeing someone focus on their purpose and not give a single fuck about anything else. Goals and ambitions are key; everything else is just extra. Keep ya head down and work on that dream. I WILL NOT GET OUTWORKED. SAMURAI by Vanic It's like what Kobe said, "It's nothing personal, i...

Geralt of Rivia

I have just completed the Witcher series, and in all honesty, the plot was trash, setting trash, and the ending was especially garbagio. Overall, it was an excellent read. The characters were what carried this series. Geralt carried the series, literally and figuratively. I have learned quite a bit from this character. Essentially, Geralt was humanities hero, but he was hated and discriminated against by all. A man who lived by a strict code of honor and values. He travels from village to village protecting all including those who scorn and spit on him due to his profession. He was a Witcher, a slayer of monsters and menaces to society. Fate gave him a daughter when he stumbled upon Ciri due to the law of surprise, but fate was also cruel as it took her away from him. Driven by ambitions and goals to save his daughter, Geralt traveled across the ends of the earth to find her. This story brings into mind the question: Would you rather be a discredited hero and hated by all or be a ...

The Wanderer

Great song. Been stuck in a mental limbo lately. I need to pick up the kindle again. On the other hand, myfitnesspal app has been HUGE. Literally, the gains that I have attained from their calorie tracker is unmatched. Anyways... I have noticed that we take life way too seriously (us first world people). If I grew up on a farm in Vietnam, then grades wouldn't mean jack. Presentations, posters, essays, applications, and etc. would all mean nothing. There are people around the world worrying about where their next meal will come from. I've never had to worry about starving to death.  We live, we die. All this "extra stuff" is extracurricular. Hahaha. Bouncing between the ultimate try-hard and the care free wanderer. What shall it be?
